Michael Lorenzen - Associate Editor

Michael Lorenzen Associate Editor Michael Lorenzen has a bachelor's degree from Bowling Green State University in philosophy, a Master of Library Science degree from Kent State University, a Master of Education degree from Ohio University, an Educational Specialist degree from Michigan State University, and he is currently working on a doctorate in educational administration at Central Michigan University where he is also employed as the Head of Reference at the Park Library. Michael has over 20 publications in library journals dealing with library instruction, information literacy, and library security. This includes a study on how high school students use the Web for research which was published by the journal Research Strategies and is available online at http://www.libraryinstruction.com/confusion.html. This background, coupled with years of volunteer service at DMOZ, Joeant, and Zeal has helped Michael learn to find and describe sites that would be useful to searchers who use the Web to find information.
